Please be mindful that Geneva is right next to the French border. Many borders are unattended, resulting in drivers crossing the border without realizing it. Please keep this in mind, as you will want to ensure you have your passport on you just in case.
WHERE SHOULD WE STAY?
Friday Night: We recommend that out-of-town guests stay within the city of Geneva, Switzerland. Please refer to our hotel recommendations outlined on the Travel Page.
Saturday Night: We recommend staying at Les Afforets or B&B Hotel, as transportation will be provided between the 2 hotels and the wedding venue.
HOW DO WE GET FROM PLACE TO PLACE?
FRIDAY WELCOME PARTY:
Ruby Claire Hotel --> Restaurant de la Plage
Option 1) Uber or Taxi (~5 mins)
Option 2) 7 min bike ride
Option 3) For those who enjoy walks, it is a 25-minute walk along Lake Geneva.
Option for 4) Train (20-22 mins) (Take the train from "Molard" Station (3 min walk from the hotel) & ride 6 stops until you reach "Parc Plage Eaux Vives" station. It is then a 4 min walk.
Hotel Longemalle Geneve --> Restaurant de la Plage
Option 1) Uber or Taxi (~12 mins)
Option 2) 6 min bike ride
Option 3) For those who enjoy walks, it is a 23-minute walk along Lake Geneva.
Option for 4) Train (19-20 mins)
(Take the train from "Métropole" Station (2 min walk from the hotel) & ride 6 stops until you reach "Parc Plage Eaux Vives" station. It is then a 4 min walk.
TIP: If using Uber to get around within Geneva, Switzerland - change your "Preferred Currency" from US dollars to "No Preferred Currency" by going into your account, clicking on wallet, and then going into the currency section. This will eliminate transaction fees within the Uber app!
SATURDAY WEDDING CEREMONY:
Saturday: Geneva --> Haute-Savoie France
Transportation will be provided from the two Geneva hotel options.
Saturday: Hotels in France --> Wedding Venue (Chateau De Saint-Sixt)
We will be providing transportation from Les Afforets & B&B hotel. For those who have decided to stay in Geneva or another hotel within the Haute-Savoie Region, please plan accordingly. Ubers are not available within the Haute-Savoie region. Therefore, pre-scheduling a taxi is best advised.
** For those who have decided to stay in Geneva all weekend and plan their own travel accommodations to the wedding: REMEMBER your passports as you will be crossing the border.
Although it is often unattended, you wouldn't want to be late or get stuck!
SUNDAY:
Please note, you cannot call an Uber/Lyft from France.

Are children allowed?
We respectfully request no children at the ceremony and reception. If you need assistance arranging childcare, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for recommendations.
